We need an English-fluent Desktop UX/UI Designer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design user interfaces for browser extensions, desktop applications, and other desktop-related products.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for desktop environments.
  • Conduct user research focused on desktop user behavior and translate findings into design solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on design vision and execution for desktop products.
  • Ensure consistency in design language across various desktop products and platforms.
  • Contribute to and maintain design systems for desktop applications.
  • Analyze user feedback and usage metrics to inform design iterations for desktop products.
  • Participate in cross-team initiatives, bringing desktop-specific insights to broader product discussions.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in desktop and browser extension design.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on desktop applications and browser extensions.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of desktop UX/UI projects, including browser extensions.
  • High degree of proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Experience in creating designs for various desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies in desktop contexts.
  • Familiarity with browser-specific design guidelines and constraints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions.

It's a plus:

  • Experience with design for cross-platform desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, particularly in the context of browser extensions.
  • Familiarity with desktop application development processes.
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing for desktop products.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards for desktop applications.
  • Ability to utilize AI tools for research, copywriting, and asset generation (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney).

Compensation:

  • The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,500 - $3,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
  • This position includes a 3-month trial period, with the possibility of extension to a long-term.
  • This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
  • The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
