We need an English-fluent Technical Lead Benchling SME, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Are you the one we are looking for?

Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and support solution design.
  • Collaborate with the Benchling vendor on implementation plans.
  • Facilitate demos/POCs for business teams.
  • Configure, enhance, and test Benchling workflows, templates, and access.
  • Support system testing and provide necessary documentation.
  • Assist with configuration migration across environments.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, IT, and the Benchling vendor.
  • Maintain documentation and support user adoption and training.
  • Assist users with inventory setup in Benchling.
  • Manage service requests, incidents (L2–L3), and problem investigations.
  • Oversee environment management and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Maintain documentation per client policies.
  • Support ingestion of Benchling and OSI PI data into the Data Mesh (KDH).
  • Maintain AWS event-based data pipelines (FSxN, OSI PI, Benchling).
  • Present curated data in KDH and support QuickSight dashboard development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with Benchling, LIMS/ELN systems, or cloud/data integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Benchling workflows, templates, and configurations.
  • Understanding of scientific workflows in R&D or Tech Ops.
  • Knowledge of AWS services used for data pipelines (S3, Lambda, Glue, EventBridge).
  • Experience with data lakes, data ingestion, and OSI PI preferred.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (QuickSight or similar).
  • Understanding of SDLC and change management in regulated environments.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.

Compensation:

  • The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,500 - $3,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
  • This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
  • The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
